Pascale's Mini-Minute: Back to basics

Today is my turn to present a mini ... you'll see, I did not invent anything!
Mini that I chose to present is a "basic" scrapbooking. You may know already, we find several tutorials and several variants, but sometimes a little reminder does no harm. I chose it because in its basic version, it satisfies all the criteria that we selected for these mini minute speed, ease, simplicity and economy. And its improved versions, it provides for a minimum investment of time and materials, interesting possibilities. I can assure you that when ye have done it once, it will not take more than three minutes to complete the structure of the simple version, and probably only five to more elaborate version! (Afterwards, for the decoration is up to you!)

Today, it's my turn ... Well, I Have not Created Anything, you'll see! With The first I've Chosen minibook, it's really back to basics. Probably you know this one-page minibook wonder. Remember minbooks o We Said Would Be Easy to make, quick, simple and cheap? Well, This One Ticks All The Boxes. However, if you are ready to put in extra effort and year Spend A Little More Time, You Can Get Something Quite different.

For Mini and its variants, you will need a ruler, a cutter, a bone folder and a little glue. We start from a page 12 "x 12" classic. Warning! We always say 30 x 30, but in fact these pages are 30.5 x 30.5 inches for those famous 12 Americans do not fall just centimeters. A tip: before you start, measure your paper and re-cut it to 30 x 30 ... as we will work on half and quarter sheet, as well not bother with too many digits! One last point before we begin: this mini has a lot of bends, sometimes we get to four layers of paper ... it is better to use paper not too thick. Thus, a sheet of Bazzill is a bit too thick to give optimal results, folding is not specific enough.

Will You just need a ruler, a bone folder, and your favorite cutting tool. We Will use a standard 12 "x12" page. Cardstock tend to Be a bit too strong for this minibook Which Involves a lot of folding over and over, When It's Been folded oven times over, it Does tend to get a little too thick & the folding is Not as accurate as it Should Be.

Step 1: Mark a fold in the middle of your paper, 15 cm (you did well to cross-check, otherwise it was 15.25!)

Step 1: Score your paper at 6 "

Step 2: Fold the crease, scoring well
Step 2: Fold it

Mark the fold in the other direction also
Fold it Both Ways

Step 3: Now mark a fold to 7 5 and 22.5, so the middle of each part you just define the central fold (and if you did not cut, I do not even tell you what size you would do it!)
Step 3: Score at 3 "and 9".

Step 4: Fold, you should get this:
Step 4: Fold your page and you should "get this:

Step 5: Now, mark a new fold to 15 cm perpendicular to the folds already made.
Step 5: Now, score at 6 "across your page:

Step 6: Fold again
Step 6: Fold over

We are at a milestone: you just made a base that will serve you for two types of album. The first, in its simple version, will be approximately 7 x 15 cm,

the second, a little more elaborate about 7 x 10 cm.

This Is an important stage in The Process: this basic folding pattern Can Be Used for Two Different minibook, a simple one that's Roughly 3 "x6" and Another one that's a little more sophisticated and Slightly Smaller in size .

To produce the album "very simple" (model Marrakech):
Reopen your entire sheet and score the last trick made, from 7.5 to 22.5 cm, like this:

Making a very simple minibook (Marrakech): Unfold The
page and cut it The Last fold line, starting at 3 "and Stopping at 9"

You should get this:
You Should End Up With This:

Now, fold your page in half and push both sides toward each other to create an opening in the slot you just made.

Now, fold your page in Two and just put your hands together, so you've just made The Slits Actually opens up.

Close well, mark the folds in bone folder. Close
All the pages, fold using your bone folder.

You just created a mini album
You Have Completed just your minibook.

For the second variant, I used paper printed on both sides. For the second
minibook, i used double sided pp

Make folding base (first 6 steps above).
Follow the first six steps of The Basic folding Shown Above.

Fold the paper 5cm on both parties as designated by the central fold. Fold the Edges
back at 2, "Parallel To The central fold.

Now glue just the edges to form two flaps with the crease. Only
put glue on the edge to close your two flaps.

Now, cut the center fold from 7.5 to 30 (of 3 rectangles formed by the folds)
Now, cut from 3 "to 12" on the central fold.

Fold on the fold is left open, you now have a long strip. Fold it
The Only Remaining fold, open up, you get a long strip.

You glue the paper in this triangular opening
Put Some Glue On the paper, where, this upside down V-shaped opening is:

Adhere And stick back to back:

Fold accordion: All the Little
Fold pages:

Done! Your
minibook Is Done!

I hope that these minis will make small, they are so quick, you have no excuse!
